I Love Saying No

Staring at you like a cat in chill mode.
You tell me jump and I stare stoically.
Maybe it’s the rebel girl in me.
I just can’t help that I love saying no.

‘Cause watching you snap your fingers is fun,
especially when you see I won’t act.
Smiling knowing your control’s been hijacked.
Look on your face — Priceless.  You are so stunned.

For the first time, you’re hearing the word no.
Let me fan you, baby.  Give you some air.
That ego of yours might need some repairs.
The defiance you just took was a blow.

Allow me to educate you on Me.
Sometimes I will comply. Sometimes resist.
Treat me like your slave, you will be dismissed.
Your arrogance covered in graffiti.

Look at this as a lesson in respect.
Ditch the entitlement, you’ll hear my yes.
There is a girl inside you can access
capable of giving what you expect.

I have a mind of my own, so you know.
Right now, the angel has horns to set free.
So, blame it on the rebel girl in me.
I just can’t help that I love saying no.

    1. Well that means a lot coming from a male! Lol
Some I know don’t like that too much. That’s really encouraging to know. 😁

As long as the “special” doesn’t mean the other kind of special, I will say Thank you! Lol You’re very kind. 🙂

      1. No I would never say L:ady B is a Special K. lol
I think it was Eddie Murphy that said first said.

Men (and many women) fail to realize that when they go out on a date most women have decided before the date if sex will be part of the festivities of the night.

        Ladies need to unite.

      2. Lol.. I’m just glad I’m not a cereal! Though Special K not so bad.

Haha! That’s so true. A date filled with turn offs like eating off your plate, tipping the waiter a penny and complaining about the menu prices might not get that person any luck later. Lol
