Monday Motivation In 3 Words – “Must Move Forward”

“Must move forward.”

The mistakes we’ve made… they are done.  Our heydays… they’ve come and gone.  What is in the past is in the past and all we have now is the NOW.  There’s nothing wrong with visiting the past from time to time.  It is a place of reflection and can offer us great insight when it comes to our lives, but we cannot stay there.  We can vacation to the past, but we can never call it home, because our present is our new home now.  All we can do with our past is learn from it, try to understand it and apply the lessons we have learned to our present.  We cannot allow it to put us in a deep depression, nor can we allow our pasts to keep us angry and bitter.  We must focus on where we are currently in our lives and do our best everyday to make the most out of this moment that we have, because the present is all we have.  The past has been lived.  You have now, this very moment, to create the life you’ve always dreamed of having.  So what, things didn’t work out right for you in your past?  You have NOW to make all of that better.  You have NOW to change all of that.  You don’t have to be defined by your past, but you can evolve from it and make your present beautiful.  Don’t keep skipping on the same track on a record.

You must move forward.

Let’s keep this Monday rolling, shall we?

Happy Monday, guys!!

  1. “We can vacation to the past, but we can never call it home, because our present is our new home now.” You are so right, all we have is the now, imagine if we weren’t dragged around by nets of past and future and just focused on the present moment. I find this idea so freeing ❤️🧡

    1. Yesss! It can be torment to the mind, heart and soul being dragged by those nets of past and future… and I kind of think being dragged by the future is the worse, at least for me. The constant questioning and worrying of things that have not come and may not even happen can be brutal on the spirit. Like you said, if only we could concentrate on the now. That would be freeing. ❤️🧡

I always appreciate your thoughts, Mind Twin! You always have something amazing to share! Thank you so much for that! Hope you’re doing awesome today!

      1. Awww thanks mind twin, your life philosophy seems so similar to mine. Often I feel very passionate about what you write, and then I end up with these mini-novels of responses.
I am good thank you, I have moved house and have a beautiful writing/coffee spot (makes up for the rest of the house needing a whole lot of work). Been so busy! Hope you are well too 🧡💜

      2. Awww!! ((hug)). It’s always good to know there are people out there who get us, you know? It kind of takes that sting of loneliness away, I think. So, if something I can write can evoke that kind of response from you, then I’m happy.

That’s good you’re getting settled in your new house! Congrats, R! You have fun in your new writing spot! I”m doing well, thank you! Back to working on my music project. 🧡💜
