The Shade

Processed with VSCO with j6 preset

They are much like plants.
Some need to be in constant sunlight to thrive.
Some depend on the sunlight to keep from wilting.
Oh, but how fortunate are the ones
who find ways to thrive
in that dreaded place sunlight plants call
β€˜the shade’.

  1. Light is a beautiful thing and some people are shady, Sir A, but the shade I’m talking about in this poem is a good shade: Struggle. The plants that learn how to survive and find happiness, even in the shade, are fortunate. πŸ™‚. Thank you so much for the kind well wishes, my dear friend. I hope you have a wicked awesome Tuesday! 😁

    1. Yes, the place where it’s cool… a bit dark, but still pleasant if we choose to make it that way. πŸ˜‰ Thank you for the love and hugs, dear R. Sending some right back at ya! ❀️❀️

  3. Those are the special flowers lovely, those are the magic makers. They don’t need to drown in the attention of aqua applause or sunlight spotlight to be seen, they’re low maintenance people but you know they are there because you don’t need your eyes to see, you use your heart. And the shade is where all the cool people can be foundπŸ˜‰. Wonderful piece fam, keep writing with your heart.❀️

    1. Wild, I love how you said “aqua applause” and “sunlight spotlight”. It’s funny you mention these things, because when I was writing this I was thinking about how some thrive off of being in the light, but some of the most amazing things happen in those dark places the light lovers don’t want to go. So much beauty and growth can happen in the shade and like you said you use your heart to see, not your eyes, when we find ourselves in those challenging places in life. Really love your thoughts on this, my friend. Thank you so much for your kind words, fam. I really do appreciate them! 😊❀️

      1. It’s like you said lovely, the shade is where the real ones know how to shine….and most magic happens beyond the light. Dreams come when eyes are closed and the Brain sprouts when the mind is clear of attention. I wouldn’t be surprised if you write in the dark lovelyπŸ˜‰β€οΈ! Great post fam.🌹
