Merry Christmas To My Blog Family!!!

The smell of apple cinnamon and pinecones is in the air, but I can’t smell it. Christmas carols are playing throughout the house, but I can’t sing them. Instead of drinking egg nog, I’m taking shots of DayQuil. This is the very first Christmas ever that I am sick as a dog, guys. However, I will not let this cold ruin my Christmas spirit. ‘Tis the season for spreading love and joy to our friends, family and even strangers, so I want to dedicate this post to you guys… my blog family and dear friends. I want to share a piece of my holiday cheer with all of you and wish you a very special holiday season. It has been a huge privilege and honor spending these last few months of 2018 with you guys and I cannot wait to see what 2019 brings all of us. So, from my home to yours, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas filled with love and warmth and a very happy New Year!

I love you all!

Couch Talk – A Very Warm Thank You!

Thank You 500

What’s goin’ on, my lovely people?

As most of you may already know, this is the week of Thanksgiving and not only is it a time to give thanks, but it’s also a time for reflecting on all the things in our lives that we are grateful for.  This week, I was notified by WordPress that Couch Talks, Wisdom & A Cup of Joe has reached 500 amazing people. What a beautiful way to bring in Thanksgiving, right?  So I wanted to dedicate this post to all of you and tell you how grateful I am for each and every one of you, because you guys are my blog family and Thanksgiving just isn’t Thanksgiving without telling your family and friends how much they mean to you.  So, allow me to speak from my heart and tell you 3 things I have received from this blogging journey that fill me with so much gratitude.

imageThe Gift of Friendship

When I started this blog, I was in a very low place. A friendship and relationship that meant the world to me had just come to an end. But, somehow during my blogging journey, I ended up gaining a new friend after losing one and she has become like a sister to me (love you, Z!). Isn’t it funny how life works? Anyways, along with that blessing, I’ve also had the opportunity to bond with so many wonderful people on here and establish some incredible online friendships.  So, I would definitely say the gift of friendship is the first thing I am grateful for and I hope that I will get the chance to bond with many more of you, as time goes by.

The Gift of Touching Lives

To me, this gift touches me the most, because there’s nothing quite like the joy you get from knowing you have helped someone and that you have touched their life.  This blogging journey has taught me that there’s power, not only in our words, but in just being who we are.  When we’re posting things on our blogs we have no idea who will be inspired and moved by what we share.  I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to hear these magic words… “This helped me“, and I’ve also had the privilege to say these words to other people. Knowing that so many people are on here positively making a difference fills me with so much thankfulness, because it reminds me that there is still goodness left on the planet.

The Gift of Laughter & Smiles

Anyone who knows me will tell you that I’m just this big kid with a lot of craziness and love to give.  I have my serious moments, but most of the time I just want to chill, smile and have a good time. Life’s too short to not have fun and this is why I am so thankful for you guys.  You always, ALWAYS bring me the laughter, smiles and the fun.  Plus, you encourage my craziness and I LOVE that.  This is why I’m ending this post with some crazy Thanksgiving goodness!

Thank you all so much for the love and support you continue to show me day in and day out and for helping this blog reach that 500 milestone!  From my heart to yours, I wish you all a very beautiful and happy Thanksgiving!

I made sure I sipped plenty of coffee for this one! No sleeping for me, especially for this next movie! Coming in at number 2 on the countdown is the movie A Nightmare On Elm Street, released in 1984.  Freddy Krueger is on the loose and he’s out to kill you in your dreams, so whatever you do… don’t fall asleep! 😳image.png

“I’ll Kill You That Way” (Backstreet Boys Parody) – SLASHSTREET BOYS

These guys KILLED this song (no pun intended).  This video is funny as hell and the fact that all my favorite scary movie killers are together showing off their mad singing skills is just bananas!  Coming in at number 3 on my Halloween countdown is the Slashstreet Boys with “I’ll Kill You That Way”.  This song is a parody of the song “I Want It That Way” by the Backstreet Boys and I hate to admit this but… I’m kind of crushing on Jason Voorhees and Ghostface right now. 😍
